I will write about early settlers in New Zealand.
In 1642 Tasman found the land. When he was trying to land, Maori group attacked them. Some crews were killed by Maori, so they gave up landing and backed to their country.
In 1769, captain cock went to New Zealand. They started to negotiate and as a result they succeeded in landing. After that, treaty of Waitangi was made in 1840, 5 February.
Then captain Hobson was called from his country to be in charge of important role in the treaty.
Wakefield voyaged out to New Zealand with his plan, the New Zealand company schemes. He chose a good and hard-working people as immigrants. He wanted immigrants to live on farms. However his plan didn’t always succeed.
Other settlers also came such as the Nova Scotians, the Scandinavians, the Bohemians, Germans, etc. later gold was found in Otago, many settlers went there.

Good and hard working people are nice, so it's reasonable to be chosen as immigrants. Be a good and hard working person!;)
返信削除Gold or natural resources drive people on to go to the places where they are found. I think those impudent settlers annoyed former inhabitant :(
